Coach Thomas Ferrill, Sr. was a versatile veteran coach who led various athletic programs at D’Iberville, Biloxi, and Pass Christian. Coach Ferrill is a native of Biloxi who was an Honorable Mention All Big Eight football player at Biloxi High. He graduated in 1953 from Delta State and began 33-year coaching career at Pace Consolidated School as head football coach. He served as athletic director and head football coach for over 10 years at D’Iberville and Pass Christian from 1954-1965 and his teams during that era compiled a 43-43-5 record. Thomas served as head girls basketball coach at Pass Christian from 1956-60 and his teams won 68 and only lost 36 games while winning the Gulf Coast Conference titles in 1956-57, 1957-58, 1958-59, and 1959-60 when his squad also captured the District crown. He coached girls softball at Biloxi High from 1979 to 1987 and his teams had a mark of 66-40. He coached in the 1986 MAC All-Star softball games as head coach of the South team. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the MAC in 1985-86. Coach Ferrill retired in May, 1993, after a long and distinguished coaching & teaching career spanning nearly 40 years.
