A native of Winona and graduate of Pearl High School, Hinds Junior College and Mississippi College, Bain has guided Pontotoc High School to 33 cross-country and track State Championships from 1978 to 2009. He is responsible for forming the Warrior cross country, girls' softball and girls' soccer teams at Pontotoc High. He has been named Cross Country Coach of the Year an amazing nine times during his career.
