Coach Greg Wall was a famed football coach who led South Pike to two state championships. Coach Wall hails from Liberty and is a graduate of Liberty High School where he was Most Athletic MVP in the Confederate Conference. He is a graduate of Southwest Junior College and Southern Mississippi. A 30-year veteran coach, Coach Wall also served as athletic director at South Pike. Greg coached at Brookhaven High from 1996-2001, but returned to South Pike to complete his career. His 1989 and 1992 Eagle gridiron squads captured state championships. He was an All-Star coach in the Bernard Blackwell Classic in 1981 and 1991 and coached in the MS/AL All-Star game in 1990 and 2002. Coach Wall was named MAC Athletic Director of the Year in 1989 and MAC Football Coach of the Year in 1992.
