State championship football coach at Greenwood, Clinton, St. Andrew’s, and Tupelo High Schools. Coach Bradberry hails from Sturgis where he graduated from Sturgis High School in 1970. David was a *sStar quarterback for East Mississippi Junior College from 1970 to 1971 where he was named All-State, a permanent team captain, and played in the 1971 Junior College All-Star game. He was a two-time All Gulf South Conference and Gulf South Conference Player of the Year in 1972 & 1973 at Delta State. David guided the Statesmen to a record of 15-6 in his two seasons as quarterback and was named to the AP Honorable Mention Division II All American team and voted NCAA Division II Back of the Week in 1973. He was selected as Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 1973. Coach Bradberry began his 40-year coaching career at Warren Central High in 1975. He worked as defensive coordinator and head baseball coach at East Central Junior College from 1978 to 1983. He coached at Greenwood High from 1983 to 1991 where he was offensive coordinator before being named head coach where he paced Greenwood to Class 5A North State titles in 1987 & 1988. Coach Bradberry led Greenwood High to a record of 44-9 before arriving at Clinton High as head football coach and athletic director in 1991. He guided the Arrows to a mark of 87-43 and Class 5A North championship in 2000 with a record of 14-1. David departed Clinton for St. Andrew’s in 2002 where he was head football coach and athletic director until 2009 compiling a record of 52-19. He worked as assistant director for the MHSAA offices from 2009 to 2010 before being named head football coach and assistant athletic director at Tupelo High with a record of 17-16 until his retirement in 2013. He compiled an overall coaching record as head football coach of 200 wins and 87 losses and was named Metro Coach of the Year in 2000 with the Region 2 Coaching Staff of the Year. He served as assistant coach in 1988 and as head coach in 1995 in the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Classic and assistant coach in the 1991 MS/AL All-Star game and was a member of the Rules Committee for the contest from 1998-2005. David served as Vice President (2002) and President (2004) of the Mississippi Athletic Administrators Association and was elected to MHSAA Legislative Council in 2005 and was state testing coordinator for athletic directors in 2004.
