Coach Charles Allman was a championship Jackson Metro area football coach at Callaway and Forest Hill. A native of Louisville who graduated from Noxapater High and Mississippi College, Coach Allman coached for 30 years from 1966 to 1996 including 19 years at Callaway and 9 years at Forest Hill. He guided his football teams in 269 games with a record of 161-107-2 and led Callaway to the 1975 State Big Eight Championship with a perfect 12-0 mark. He is one of the winningest coaches in the history of Jackson Public Schools. He served as an assistant coach and head coach in the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Classic and was named Metro Jackson Coach of the Year in 1979. He was a member of the MAC from 1968 to 1997. Charles also coached baseball and track & field at Callaway.
